My name is Gilbert Howard, and my life spiraled out of control from selling and using drugs. I was in and out of jail and prison due to my addictive lifestyle. My life changed when I was at Richmond City Jail - hearing and seeing something that caught my interest. I humbled myself to go through the KLM program, and it changed my life. I received salvation in Christ.

Eight years later, the transformation is undeniable. I've paid over $20,000 in fines and accumulated bills - all now paid off. I've reclaimed my voting rights and, most importantly, my whole family is back in my life.

I completed a rigorous four-year apprenticeship and became a certified Electrical Journeyman. I now work as an Electrical Mechanic for Colonial Webb and own H & C Lawn Care. As House Director for Kingdom Life Recovery, I now mentor the men walking the same road I once walked.

I'm a dedicated husband to Tameika and father of five. With God in my life, I am committed to a lifestyle of being clean and sober every day.

My name is Darryl Cousins and overcoming my drug, alcohol and street life was nothing but God's hand on my life. Throughout this process, I have been building my relationship with God. Additionally, I have developed great relationships through KLM that have helped me grow and experience continued success.

My name is Timothy Green and I have been in and out of jail, on drugs for more than half of my life - an absent father, brother, uncle, husband, and friend. I had suicidal thoughts and almost acted on a few of them. The people I loved I kept hurting, until I was incarcerated and got a chance to go into the KLM program.

It totally changed my life. God came in and had a bigger plan for my life. It was not an overnight thing - because I had to do some work myself.

Now I have been off drugs for 8 years. I am an active father, brother, uncle, and friend. I'm now a manager at Ashley Furniture Store. I have my rights back, voted for the first time, and I can walk down the street with my head held high.
